Speak Up Speak Out (SUSO) Opportunity for GT Students 🌟

We are excited to announce that Southwest ISD GT students will have the opportunity to participate in Speak Up Speak Out (SUSO), a civic education program designed for students in grades 3–12. SUSO empowers students to learn about their communities and equips them with tools to make a positive difference. Projects follow four steps: identify a problem, explore the problem, identify the solution, and prepare & present.

Select students will showcase their work at the regional competition at Our Lady of the Lake University on January 15, 2027 with the chance to advance to the state competition at UT Austin in Spring 2027. This is a powerful opportunity for our GT learners to think critically, collaborate, and create meaningful change in their communities!
