Military Families
Hidden Cove STEAM Academy (HCSA) welcomes our military families! HCSA recognizes the unique strengths and challenges of our military-connected families. Our goal is to provide a smooth transition for our students and provide support/resources to families that will empower our students to be successful throughout their time in SWISD. Thank you for choosing our Hidden Cove STEAM Academy!
We support military-connected children and families by:
- Introducing a campus "buddy" through HCSA Student Council, who helps introduce and supports the military-connected child in school.
- The Eagles Nest- students are invited to eat breakfast or lunch one time a week with the school social worker. This time is used to chat about their time so far at HCSA and build relationships with their peers.
- Providing news and updates for events and activities featuring military students, families, and veterans.
- Designating resources for students and military families.
- Hosting Month of the Military Child events and celebrating our Military families through a series of school-wide and district-wide events.
- Providing priority status in the school’s enrollment process for children of active-duty families.
